Flora Mini-Marathon

Hi,

I missed the registration for the mini marathon on the June bank holiday weekend and would really like to take part. If anyone has already registered and can't take part I would be really grateful if I could take your place. I would of course pay for my place as I know it is approx 20 euro to enter.

Thanks a mil,
Laura

I'm pretty sure that the organisers do not allow for number transfers for this race.

I rang them and they said as long as you can get a race number that they will allow you to take part..

its just getting that race number!!

So many people are going to back out and my friend and I so wanted to do it and were training and all..

i'll be devastated if I have to give back the money I've raised so far just because of numbers.. and a lot of people won't even take part in it that have registered!!

Flora Mini Marathon 2012

Hi,

I didn't realise that the entries for the mini marathon had closed. I'm desperate to get a number as my mum had already signed up and had promised to do for the third time with her this year.

If you know of anyone selling their number, I would love to purchase it.

Fingers crossed

I might be able to assist, have only 1 number though! Of running at the minute with 'runners knee' and not due to return training till next Sunday (13th) so depending on how that goes it might be up for grabs. I will repost in this thread if its available.

Hi all,

there was a group of hoping to do the mini marathon this year to raise funds for a local community group. Only some of us managed to register on line but I was wondering if it's possible for those who didn't get to register to just raise funds and join the race "unofficially"? I realise they wouldn't have their times clocked and won't get a race number and medal - this bit isn't really important to them, it's more about taking part and raising for the community group.
Does anyone know if the route is baracaded the whole way or could those that are unregistered join the registered runners at a point along the route?

The course is very, very, very busy with just the 40,000 people who do have numbers. Do not add to the overcrowding as you'll not be doing anyone any favours. They will check numbers to get into the start area, and you will get bundled off the course at the end if you are not wearing a number...or look like a bloke.

You will find a lot of other events listed in threads here that you could take part in instead and will be much less crowded and give you the chance of faster times.

Looking for one race number for the mini marathon, friend of mine wants to do for a local Alzeheimers day centre. My mother is a sufferer :-(

Would be very grateful if someone has registered and is unable to run.
Of course we would re-inburse you your registration fee.

Many Thanks

Nyberg :-)

Hi,
Just wondering did you have any luck getting a race number and by any chance are you still getting offers to take numbers? I left it too late to register also (a complete novice didn't realise it would fill up so quickly ) I had already collected sponsors on behalf of crumlin children's hospital so I desperately want to do the marathon now. I would of course pass on the registration fee if anybody now finds themselves unable to do the marathon.

Thanks a mill
Marie
