Saw that - its a bit too far to travel down for me. I did my Advanced down there and am booked in for June to do my Deep/Nitrox speciality - great set up down there.

I WISH. Come back and tell us all about it. I was thinking of trying freediving once I get my goal of Rescue diver, and some SeaSearch. I have a slight back/rib problem and I'm very curious to see what its like to not be 'shackled' to equipment and just enjoy the water.

Thats one of the reasons I gave up scuba you can move around so much more and be more well, free.

Hey how was the viz and everything? We are heading out on the Brazen Hussy for the May bank holiday. This weather is depressing me as well as the last 3 dives I had in Dublin.

Hi vis was just ok at 4-5m breffni said it improved the next day and there were a lot of divers around as well so bound to be a bit stirred up. Dived the wreck at 14m mainly and some photos here http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...9193662&type=1
I should have some of the video up in a few days. Good crowd and we had about 12-15 at our talk on freediving in the evening. Lovely chicken curry post dive went down a treat as well.

4-5m viz. As a diver based in dublin I could only label 4/5m as exquisite. If the east coast could regularly boast even 3m consistently I'd be a happy man.

Lads a regular problem I have is convincing you Dubs that Sligo isnt that far away. 2 1/2 hours sure you'd spend the same amount of time on the M50. I dont do scuba but there are lads near me that have a PADI centre. Nearly always some where reasonable to dive as Mullaghmore is a headland but this sat looks great as wind and swell are non existant.
