can anyone recommend somewhere to stay in Brighton. couple of us going for few nights in June.

Price range? Its not a cheap city and there's a lot of very poor hotels and very expensive ones. Better hotels are a bit of a bus ride (there's night buses) away from Kemptown (where the bulk of the gay bars/clubs/etc are).
