Alfa - cool car but just not me, one Alfa in the house is plenty!
Hearse - I've hopefully got a few years left in me yet before I need one.
Rover - not my bag but I like the direction you're going in.

Something interesting with a bit of life in it and not outrageous to tax.

I'd be going to view this myself if I had the money

Edit: Just seen your budget....but worth blowing for this IMO.

Really? on a sub £1000 car?

I had the 618L (well, actually, still have it, must look into best scrappage prices) and it was a lovely motor, would love to get my hands on a 620ti in good nick.

Just searched it on ROS, got a figure of €640 for the VRT (putting the car as a December model so might actually be cheaper).

Yep, the VRT folks will put an OMSP of €2000 on it and charge 32% VRT so that's €640 quid.

I had a 618 myself back in 2006/2007, decent motors, would have loved a ti too but never got around to bothering.

Paying the guts of €2000 for a £900 car is looney imo.

Those Range Rovers are an the same as the 2.5 TDS in the Bmws, reliable unit but dog slow.

Sold one about three years ago to a fella, he brought it back because it was too slow. We got it chipped and he still couldn't cope, lol!

And bingo was his name-o!

Is €640 not the minimum VRT charge anyway? Regardless of the cars actual value.
