Stove query

Hi all , new to this
I'm interested in putting in a free standing boiler stove in place of existing open fire . Room size is 6.1 m x 5 m x 2.65 m
3 rad circuits although probably will only use 1 maybe 2 at any one time
Circuit 1 , 11 no . Singles 5 ft
Circuit 2, 7 no. Singles 5 ft
Circuit 3 ,5 no . Singles 5 ft
Existing oil boiler to be integrated
Will I need to line flue ? 6 or 8 inch
House is dormer bungalow 15 yrs old with insulation upgraded last year .
Have been looking at the following
Stanley reginald , Stanley Lismore , stovax Stockton 14 hb and the Charnwood country 16 b
I will be burning mostly wood / coal
Any advise ???????

Hi, Seems a bit strange to have all the same size rads? Did he just get a job lot?

I have worked out to heat all of your 23 rads you would need a 34kw boiler stove

Each of your 600mm by 1500 single radiator is approximately 1.5kw each.

You will never find a boiler stove with that output to water.

I personally would pick an 18kw boiler output stove and just use it to either heat just circuit 1= 11 rads. 16.5kw output.

Or just heat circuit 2+3 = 12 rads. 18kw output.

This is not taking into account 2-3kw for hot water but I would advice fitting thermostatic rad valves on some rads, but make sure the boiler stove has gravity circulation to a heat leak radiator(s).

The stove I like the sound of is the Aarrow stratford EB18HE. 18kw to water 9kw to room. I think you need around 6kw to heat your room, but if you can open doors to other rooms you could distribute the heat to the rest of the house. An installer would verify if it's suitable.

A chap here has the 12kw inset and very happy with it.

There is the older design stratford TF90, although I don't rate it. The other stove is a better design.

Hi:)It's very hard to say without visiting your home and knowing what insulation you have, room orientation, drafts etc.

I calculated you needed 6kw based on online calculators but if you have several doors that you can open and can create a through airflow the extra heat output may be fine.

I myself for the physical size of the stove I wouldn't think it will produce 9kw to the room. I had a much larger sized boiler stove and at a guess it produced 5kw to the room going full blast.

You could buy a 14kw output boiler stove and heat less rads and have the lower room output.

Either way you need someone to visit, calculate and select the stove.
