well i took out the battery and let it cool down and put it back in and let it run away. then an hour later i tried charging it and it was back to normal.

also i got the problem with the contacts thing too, you have to add the international code prefix to some contacts and that sorts the problem.

I did the same last night & have had the SG2 on the go since 8am. It seems to have worked.

But the battery indicator seems to be a bit off the wall. At 8am, phone said that it was 100% charged giving 5 hours 31 mins of usage.

It is now 7 hours later & it says 50% giving 6 hours 50 mins 16 secs usage, without giving any additional charge.

Just saw your message about the contacts - saw that with incoming family calls also. I'll do that on Kies when I get home.

Another issue is that ICS does not support rSAP for the car kit for my car !! There is a solution - rooting the phone & installing an app for €10. It appears I will have to do this.

Hey Guys. I see above that several people have been having problems with their battery since updating.

I've been having the same problems . The Phone can be connected to the charger for hours and will only only charge by 1 or 2 % if any. It gets EXTREMELY hot also. The battery icon doesn't move up or down etc.

Now i've seen some suggestions above such as just letting the battery run down but that doesn't work for me. Any other solutions out there ?

The problem seems to be some apps using huge amounts of power even after you stop using them. Go into task manager and close down all apps that you don't need. Do this everytime before charging, works for me.

Don't go around killing random apps ffs, this will only gimp your phone even more.

Do find the misbehaving app and uninstall it. Use battery stats to find what is using juice. Skype is the one thing I always manually exit.

The 'Screen' Is using 59% even thought its on automatic brightness. I've rebooted but no change.

I can't find how to upgrade even using Kies air. How do I do it please?

A lot of my contact names have got scrambled after update. Any suggested fixes. Looks crap.
