Nothing happens, meteor is slightly behind other providers for the ICS update

Just did the "Check for update" in the "About Phone" and got the prompt to download the firmware update. Wahoo!

I wouldn't be too concerned lads. Can't see any improvement so far. It's laggy enough, the text on websites looks muddled. Lots of spam included aswel from Samsung and ye can't even use skygo.

Hey,

According to the tech guys on the Meteor forum its a staggered roll out...

Quote:
We (the forum team) received confirmation internally that the update had been approved for release as of the 20th of April and should be available to users now.

I contacted the team responsible earlier to find out what is happening here. Personally speaking I believe that the issue is that it's a staggered roll out to IMEI's, but once I get confirmation I'll post it up here.

The only spam I can see on mine is from Meteor. Mine is very smooth too, my messaging lagged at the start but seems to have sorted itself out after a reboot. The updated browser is also far better for me, no reports of muddled text at all.

I've had 5 new games added and some other apps that I cannot remove. My phone keeps dropping connection when in wifi. Twitter is not synching correctly. Calls and texts are not registering the caller even though they are in my phone book. Its not too bad, but I wouldn't be too concerned about upgrading especially with the whole skygo situation.

Weird, I have none of those issues, there was 4 spam games but I was able to uninstall them.

Updated yesterday to ICS on my SGS2.

Have had serious battery issue. It's not charging and shows a constant 6% charge even after 2 hours of charging. Keep getting a constant Low Power message.

Also notice that the phone is hotter / warmer after a charge.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I updated my galaxy II last week and it was working fine until today when i tried to charge it and i have the same problem as you trying to charge it , it fluctuates between 10% and 8% and the battery is really hot. I saw somewhere that you need to let the battery fully discharge to fix the problem so that's what i'm doing now.
