Napoli can be dangerous at times but they are definitely overrated by most EPL fans, they aren't half as good as what people think they are. I'd fancy Chelsea to go through myself.
True. But i reckon Napoli will be up for this one. Chelsea on the other hand may or may not turn up, we're in a terrible run of form at the moment and this is a dangerous game to be going into for us.

Its more about possession than the 90 mph and physical type of EPL.
Like with Valenica, we let them have most of the possession and than WHAM BAM! the old one-two!
In fact I expect the same side and tactics as the Valenica game pretty much
You're in for a shock.

Hoping for a score draw. Not confident at all though.

Napoli got a good result against City but their no world beaters. If Chelsea produce anything near the kind of performance they are capable of we should go through comfortably. I didnt have much confidence in us after watching the Birmingham game but the more I think of it the more confident I get, Chelsea always turn it up for the big games

im going for 2-1 Chelsea

Have a look at who they've beaten though. Milan, Inter and Udinese have all lost to Napoli this season and Roma would be the only 'big' team to have beaten them, and they were a tad fortunate to do so.

I would say the tie is basically 50/50, with neither team as a clear favourite, which is what makes it very interesting.

yes I'm quite aware that Napoli defy the stereotype of slow italian teams, (thankfully) its still not the hell for leather speed of the EPL from what I have seen of their CL matches this season, even against City.

I think a lot of the chelsea players are just vain enough to try that bit harder in the CL, rather than a windy night in Swansea or the FA Cup.
Plus a few of the team know that they are on show for the summer when some of them will move on

Lol Italian football will never lose it slow/defensive stereotypes no matter how attacking teams or quick games are. It's best to not say anything if your clearly massivley ignorant on a topic.

Oh I dont mind putting my big mouth in it - and I have actually seen a few matches you know! But I will reserve the right to bite back at rude people who have no net manners and I have the right to my own opinion even if other people disagree
Theres ways of putting things you know?!

Anyway, looking forward to the match and watching AVB chew his fingernails off!

I'm confident of a chelsea win but then again I'm always confident of a chelsea win which only helps to compound my disapointment when more often than not we don't.

you really think that? I'd be more inclined to look at their 3-0 and 3-1 wins over Inter and Milan. They also put 3 goals past Juventus - the only unbeaten team in Europe's top 5 leagues, and the meanest defence in Serie A. Napoli are a different beast to last season. They will treat this for what it is, a cup game where they can upset the opposition from the off.

Napoli will be clear favourites for this I would imagine. They have better players than chelsea and are in better form so it should be a formality. I'd say 2/3-0 to napoli in the first leg and maybe a draw at the bridge.

I just hope chelsea at least make it competitive but its not likely to happen given chelsea's pathetic performances lately. Chelsea will just roll over again

I'm tired of ccondescending posters on here pretending like they know it all. Just because they have watched years of some foreign team on the telly they think they are experts when in truth, no one really knows what goes on at a club or much about tactics etc etc, excpet this in the job.
Everyone has an opinion

and DOH! It was in jest, but most people on here have no sense of humour and take men kicking a ball in a muddy field wayyyyy too seriously

Clue was "wham-bam"

Sigh - I'm just unappreciated in my time
