I agree that this would not be an ideal scenario and it would disrupt the squad. If he wants the job let him go now and try to get a replacement in quickly.

If we signed up a top manager in the next few weeks then that would be the best scenario for us. Harry would go out with a bang and the lads would want to impress the new world class manager.

There will be no world class managers available at this time of the season and the only high profile manager that is available at the moment is Guus Hiddink, if he is considered world class?

Very good point.
If HR is confirmed as the next England manager in the next week or so, then we need to have our replacement lined up and announced so that the players are incentivised to push on for the rest of the season so that we finish as high as possible, keep the players we have and attract top players in the summer.

A worst case scenario would be no manager lined up, a summer of uncertainity and some 2nd rate manager put in place after the Euro's.

Or worse, so 2nd rate manager like McCLaren announced now..

I agree. He will want to go and win La Liga this season then leave in the summer. There will be plenty more clubs looking for him, Man City if Mancini doesn`t deliver the Premiership and even a return to Chelsea I feel.

Would we settle on Tim Sherwood or someone handling the team till the summer if we could and José then?

Not a chance, he'd field an illegible player and get us kicked out of the league

Can't believe so many of you are favour of bringing Mourinho to the Lane. Wouldn't have him anywhere near the club, no time for the man nor the cynical tactics he's brought to the game. From the diving & theatrics of Porto to the snarling gamesmanship of Real. No thanks.

1 year ago, 2 years ago - I'd have biten your arm off for Mourinho.

But I have to say the prospect of watching spurs play the kind of football chelsea played under Mourinho having been spoiled by HR's flyers in the last 2-3 years makes me very uncomfortable.

Yes, I'd rather trophies in the cabinet over fancy football and mid table fodder but still ...

The big attraction for me is that we would likely continue our progression under Jose while we could easily slip away under another less astute manager

Plus, his name alone would likely keep our current big name players from even considering leaving.

This season Real Madrid have scored more goals and won more games than Barcelona?

Have they ... dont follow the spanish stuff at all. Well thats a little reassuring but with the players at his disposal there's no excuse for not scoring a hat full of goals.
Apart from the goal, what style of the football are they playing like... is it still similar to his reign at chelsea and inter?
