thinking about getting a low entry car jack.
what make would people recommend.
looking to get lower then 80mm or that possible?

have enough of that **** done.

have to use standard jack to get it onto a normal one until other day when it kinda gave!!

You want an aluminium racing jack. On ebay and amazon, plus in some motor factor shops.

Pricy though, you can pay €200 for a nice one. That'd pay for a lot of blocks of wood!

The alu racing jacks are best suited to jacking on smooth level surfaces but you can get low entry jacks in steel too.

Check out your local motorfactors as already suggested but do your homework, i used to work for a motor factor and if memory serves me we were selling them for 350! can be got cheaper but beware, there are a lot of cheap alu jacks on the market and they blow their seals easily or even worse collapse.

Whatever you do, ensure you use axle stands, even if its only going to be a 30 second look under the car. It takes less than a second for a jack to collapse (back when i was a lad i had one collapse, but thankfully was not under it, but had a mate who got pinned when his failed, was pure luck he survived
