Looking to pick up one of these very soon. Going to be using it to get into cycling in a bigger way, do some much longer spins and go Mizen to Malin this summer.

If anyone has one, or from looking at the spec, are there any obvious flaws that jump out?

For the Mizen to Malin, I might be looking to carry some gear with me beyond spare tubes, pump, etc. What I can fit in a saddle pack. The frame doesn't have bosses for panniers or anything like that. Can I attach a rack to the seatpost? There was another thread that suggested that having weight up high made the bike less stable.

There are no eyelets on the frame for a rack if you plan on travelling with a rack and panniers. Its not an insumountable problem though. There are adapters available.

I think I mentioned the weight up high issue most recently. I don't like the feeling, it might not bother you.

But see if you can try a saddle bag. It might be grand for a week's holidays. I used to use a carradice for everyday commuting and I grew to hate it. But for one week it would probably be grand. You won't be doing much cycling in town or in and out of traffic. The only issue would be when you're out of the saddle on a big hill throwing the bike from side to side. The bike will swing more.

Bike ordered yesterday and deposit taken. Hope to have it around Wednesday/Thursday.

Once I've finished paying for it, I hope I can afford the pedals and shoes.

I was looking at these too and saw this one advertised in The Edge in Cork. It is last year's model and they only have them available in a 56 and 60cm frame (which suits me). At €1,630.00 I thought it was a good price.

Seriously considering this.

That one also looks good Rich, very similar to what I'm getting apart from the carbon frame. I just liked the understated look of the Agree SL.
