Kansas Republican Speaker Of The House Prays For Obama’s Children To Be Fatherless

A deeply disturbing story out of Kansas. As the thread title says.. I was split where to put this, after hours, political cafe, Religion or here.

How bad must things be that someone can openly say things like this?

Can you imagine id this guy was a muslim representative? the crap would be hitting the fan left and right..

should he be impeached?

Quote:
In what may be the most clear example of Republicans hoping for the assassination of President Obama, Kansas Speaker of the House Mike O’Neal sent an email to his Republican colleagues containing a shocking personal message with Bible verse Psalm 109 that he uses as a prayer for the assassination of President Obama.
Here’s the email message”
“At last — I can honestly voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Look it up — it is word for word! Let us all bow our heads and pray. Brothers and Sisters, can I get an AMEN? AMEN!!!!!!

Let his days be few; and let another take his office
May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.
May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes.
May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
May no one extend kindness to him or take pity on his fatherless children.”

Disgraceful, absolutely disgraceful.

Thankfully the power of prayer is nonsense.

Hmmm… Seems like that bozo must have gotten his education from New Jersey union teachers.

Here was their prayer regarding Chris Christie:
"Dear Lord, this year you have taken away my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress, Farrah Fawcett, my favorite singer, Michael Jackson, and my favorite salesman, Billy Mays. I just wanted to let you know that Chris Christie is my favorite governor."

Maybe all 67,000 of them should have been fired also.

some pretty poor whataboutery, there Amerika.

Oh btw, after further reading, since you didnt bother with a citation, that unions email was ripping off the original of what you posted, which targeted Obama, oh and Nanci pelosi too..

I thought it was pretty good whataboutery, RichieC.

And I guess I can sorta see your point... we need to hold republican officials accountable for their actions, but we can't possibly expect to hold union teachers accountable for theirs.

Did you start a thread here about it when it happened?

Now, try sticking to the topic at hand, if you can't do that why bother posting?

thanks.

I find it disgusting to read that this man wants to kill a democratic president by a way of prayer. One disaster in the US like 9/11 and the aftermath was clearly enough for my generation to be taking in.

We don't want to live in situations were people just couldn't care less, it like what happened to JFK all over again.

Simply, because he thinks that this man, Barack Obama, has something up his sleeve. All he is just trying to do, is to help the US get off his knees and the people out there are not giving him the chance to do it properly. Even though, The people of the US elected him to do just that in 2008 when he was elected.

It is a really a problem for Mike O'Neal to sort out. But, it's not going to be sorted by killing him IMO.

I just cannot see the reason why people want to kill Obama, even though it has happened before. I just couldn't live through at all.

"Sourceless"?

FS, did you or anyone request any sources? Or is one now required here to provide sources for everything noted?

I gotta admit, mind reading is not one of my strong suits.

american christians are a hilarious bunch , they can incorporate jesus into any of thier own ideals and policys , heard a rick santorum supporter on fox news last nite talking about the importance of jesus from a capitalst , low tax , pro business , small goverment point of view , you could just as easily have had a lobbyist for the adult film industry spouting about jesus for all the relevance it had

newt gingrich was heard to say at one of the earlier debates , i made some mistakes in my life while i was speaker of the house and had to go and make things right with GOD

the old addage man created god in his own immage , comes to mind

Its been a revelation over the last four years to observe the almost open racism against Obama here in the USA.

Creepy.

Also, there was a Zionist guy in yesterday's Atlanta paper suggesting that Obama should be taken out, if Israel wasn't protected enough.

People like this are actually abusing freedom of speech, and should be sufficiently punished under law. I say that as someone who has very little time for the current President.
