Luton Airport - how long to get to Central London

Hi
Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get from Luton Airport to central London? Is there a train or bus?

Thanks in advance

2 options:

1. Bus from Airport to London (Victoria station i think?) - with traffic you would be looking at anything from an hour to 90 minutes.

2. Bus to from Luton airport to Luton Train station - leaves you at the door, takes 15 minutes, train to London then takes around 30 minutes. All in that takes about hour with waiting times.

To some degree it depends on where in London you want to go - the Luton - London Train goes to St Pancras from where you can pick up the underground.

With bus you can go to Baker Street/Marble Arch or Victoria.

The bus is actually more convenient as it straight from the airport very regular, the train involves a 5-10 minute bus transfer (only free if you buy your train ticket at the airport or if online then make sure you choose Luton Airport and not Luton Airport Parkway as your journey commence) to the station followed by wait for train which generally arrives every 20 minutes.

Unless travelling at peak time or in a rush the bus is probably better.

Both are bookable online anyhow with some savings.

Check out thread for Oyster Card elsewhere and definitely recomend getting one if staying in London.
