Good on you lurkers for coming out. Let's be having a few more of you, make this year's challenge the biggest ever. Funny how you get locked into little battles with people you don't know; you get miffed if they leapfrog you etc. It's an excellent way of getting your ass out of the door when you don't feel like it.

1k=0.62137 miles

Robin I think there's a slight error in your conversion rate from kilometers to total miles. It's not much, but currently displaying 73km=45.37miles, when in fact 73*0.62137=45.36. There's a similar discrepancy in the other output values for those who had inputted their totals in km. It's not huge, but will become more apparent later in the challenge (Your table gives 1660km as 994.41 miles, it should be 1600km=994.192 miles).

I sure hope someone gets fired over this.

It's using 1.609 for the conversion of KM->Miles on the first sheet, and then the slightly more anal number of 1.60934 on the positions sheet to calculate the miles back to km's for everyone.

It was a collaborative effort so must have bee someone else that did the mistake. Honest.

Edit: Fixed now so stop your whining.

I expect compo, these past few hours on the challenge have been a sham. What department should I address my letter seeking redress to?

...and the Procalimers couldn't care less about walking a mere 500 kilometres, 804.67 is the magic number.

Walk of shame

Ok, the google docs format is fantastic, easy to read and even perfect for technophobes like me...
I have managed to mess up my editing while trying to input my second run, I have no excuses other than the fact that the kids are still off school this week and I briefly left my post as chef/entertainer/referee to escape here and of course my boys followed me to the computer.

I ran 15.1 miles two days ago and 10.12 this morning (the joy of escaping the house made up for the not so perfect weather) and my total is still the same as the first day.
Any help?

You're total is down as 25.22 which seems to be right?

Just joined. I managed 261 miles last year, so my aim this year is to hit the 500mile mark. I will see how it goes tho. Can always up the target but never lower it!

63 miles in 5 days , that's almost a marathon every other day since the beginning of the year.

Respect due , certainly inspired me to stop using the bad weather and dark as an excuse.

Keeps getting stuck loading rows 102-164 :-( so can't add my 5 miler.

<Note to self: I need to jot down my mileage total in my log too>

Someone managed to delete me out - it's no problem as I only had 3 runs to add up and pop back in again but I wouldn't like it to happen a few months down the line !
