Strange decision not to wait til half time to make the sub. Save Callejon the (undeserved) embarrassment.

Pepe's reputation worked against him there.

5 hat tricks, 25 goals, 20 league goals. And all in small games.

How far have Sevilla fallen?.

4/5 years ago Real and/or Barca would have gone there and been lucky to escape with a point.

Not been the same team since Juande Ramos left.

It's hard to believe he's still only the second best player in the world with a record like that.

I should have come on here beforehand and typed, because I was going to post "I say Ronaldo will be back to his scoring ways again tonight".

Low and behold, he was. I wouldn't agree with your statement PJ-S about Ronaldo only scoring in all small games. Sevilla are one of the best sides in La Liga. Plus he scored against Valencia, Atletico, etc. Anyway when he got took down by the Sevilla GK and nothing was awarded, that was ludicrous.

The referee was away in dreamworld. The replay showed, clearly, he was took down! Plus the referee saw it! Same goes for Benzema being took down in the box (for the penalty) and the Sevilla defender not getting booked. Benzema looked bad on the floor. Hope he is alright.

Not really, when you think of who's number one!

Just having a laugh at the expense of the idiots that consistently throw out the 'big games' argument when they're running out of straws. He could have had a 4th alright, but no need to be greedy, he'll probably break his own records anyway.

87 goals in 79 league games. I had a regen in Football Manager a few years ago who had similar stats and I stopped playing because it wasn't fun anymore and felt like cheating. And that was in the Scottish league.

LOL true. People can say what they want, but Ronaldo'll be picking up the Golden Ball for the 2nd year in a row. IMO if Real won the CL, La Liga and Copa Del Rey treble Ronaldo would be picking up the Ballon D'Or.

Also, 111 goals in 112 games for Madrid now. Just stupid.

And Madrid and Barca have goal differences of +41 and +42 respectively. Next best team are +8.

The goal difference stat is incredible alright. But look at the CL, Barca just about 1/2 to win, Madrid a tiny bit less. Then Bayern 3rd favorite at 11/2. If Real and Barca went into any league in the world they would both finish 1st and 2nd. (though not in the respective order I just stated)

It will be interesting to see how far Valencia get in the Europa League, seeing as they are 3rd ATM. Atletico are struggling badly ATM in La Liga but are cruisinf in the Europa League.
