Keep an eye on the bangernomics thread for a clean Alfa 156 with NCT. Going for very little these days but try find a 1.6TS. Lovely motors and I don't think you would regret it once you drive one really. Huge amount of car for pennies.

Considering new ones were going for less than twice that and couldnt sell I'd take that price with a pinch of salt. Nice car though.

What was the reason the gaskets went in the first place? Something to do with airlocks? And are the 8v or 16v's the bad ones?

The 8v does have a rep for HG, however if you keep an eye on the coolant levels and bleed the air from the system every so often you will be grand. Its a great little engine, light, rev happy,good on fuel,small and its quite reliable.
