love me '92 hardcore, but i woulda loved to be out on the town in the uk on a weekly basis in '91. before everything sped up, so ya had things around 130bpm, and nearly every mix was a complete mash up of styles, from house to rave, and back again.

yeah man, well techno & house have been there from the get go, but when the rave element came into it in late '89 early '90, everything was around 130bpm or so. and ya had top dj's like carl cox, slipmatt etc banging out top mixes of (it has to be said) some of the hardest tunes to mix in all honesty. intro's that lasted 2 bars, and fúckall of an outro, as you put it "tunage". back then mixabillity didn't seem to come into the producers thoughts when making a tune, it was just a killer sounding tune, and it was up to the dj to sort out the mixing end of it (if he/she could ).

sweet man, talk to ya tomorrow some time

[QUOTE=stomprockin;77393431]I found the time this week to convert one of my tapes. 99.9% sure it's a Mick Walsh tape. The cassett has no writing it but his mixing still style is fairly unique.
