Need to find a nice walk in Co Galway/Mayo

I went on a nice walk with my gf (and her little yorkshire terrier!) last week and we had a lot of fun! But we need suggestions on where to go next

Here's where we went last week:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lough_Carra (is right beside Moore Hall)

Anyone know some nice spots? Ty

There's lots of scope for nice walks around Cong/ Clonbur.
In fact there's a lovely trail all the way from one to the other! You can start here in cong and there are maps along the way. There are various shorter trails through the woods or you can go further towards Clonbur. Likewise at the Clonbur side of the trail there are lovely shorter walks.

I'm sure I'll come up with a few more possibilities in a while.

Try irishtrails.ie and click on the area you want. My favourite route in Galway is from Maum up through Maumeen. Theres a really amazing spot with an alter and stations of the cross right bang in the middle of nowhere. great views into the surrounding valleys too. Bring raingear. http://www.irishtrails.ie/Trail/West...y--Galway-/37/

There's loads, as people say.

Further up in Mayo there's the Great Western Greenway - lovely especially the bits round Mulranny. http://www.greenway.ie/

An undiscovered (mostly) treasure is Tóchar Pádraig, the pilgrim path from Ballintubber to Croagh Patrick via Aughagower.
