Quite simply the most sensible solution is to close every hospital in the country for two years;
That way there is nothing spent on health, medical card scheme abandoned, automatically discard a few odd thousand admin.
The sick and the elderly will die in their droves which means monumental savings on both disability payments and pensions. Drunks and druggies will fall victim to their vices which means a decrease in unemployment figures, decrease in unemployment benefit paid out, decrease in crime (which will go well with the emasculated Gardaí). Homeless problem solved, and due to general untimely demises, lots more positions in the workplace will open up and Full Employment will once again be an attainable goal. We'll be BACK ON TRACK I say! I'll submit my White Paper tomorrow.
