I had thought the same before I visited them.
"All you can eat" places are funny IMO, because you go in there with this notion that you're a remorseless eating machine capable of putting them out of business in one sitting. Instead you end up having one dinner size portion, rub your belly, leave feeling somewhat defeated by the establishment and a little ashamed of your feeble capacity to execute your original plan of attack. Of course that lesson is quickly forgotten by the time you return

![]() Tried it on Sunday, unreal. Needs more duck though, as soon as they brought out a new tray of it , it was gone in a flash. The peanut butter sauce with the chicken skewers is dee-lish! Deserts went down a treat, i never felt fatter when walking to the car after, i will be back. |

I think if it wants to do well as a restaurant, it should focus on that instead of also trying to be an alternative to the pub/off-license. Even if they wanted to divide floor space up between cheap drinks and food, that would be better. Otherwise it's just going to attract the wrong crowd (Fast Eddies, anyone?) and make it difficult for the rest to enjoy their meal. I will go be going back a second time though based on my first experience. This place looks like it's going to do very well for itself. I can see many other restaurants around the city (Asian, in particular) following the "all you can eat" model with the exception of maybe Asian Tea House and one or two others. Interesting times for the restaurant business in Galway. |

i just want to add to the praise that this place is getting. went there last night and it was just lovley. the cheesy band was great. loved the food (bar the cheesecake i got. it was frozen or something)
i'd say they need to add lables to what each of the dishes are, which is the only gripe i had withe the place. i'll be back wearing these:
