This is rubbish on so many levels
First off youve exaggurated the demographics by comparing the number of
households in Ireland with the number of
people in the UK.
Secondly youve ignored the fact that the Beebs operating costs are far higher than RTE's (overpaid presenters notwithstanding) Aside for the extra paid for rights to show sports/films/imported programming they have the extra costs from operating in a larger and more diverse country such as transmission, extra services, regional output (22 regions on BBC1 Four on BBC2 and over sixty local radio services plus a world service and a host of specialist/minority interest services).
