+1 Boards does need an electronics forum.

Wouldn't it be better to have Electronics - Robotics as opposed to the other way around though? Robotics is more a subset of Electronics?

I think the proposal is to have the forum as a subforum of the Tech category rather than the Robotics forum. Although, as somebody else suggested, a joint "Robotics & Electronics" forum would also be an alternative worth considering, since there is a lot of crossover between the two subjects. A single forum would also get a lot more traffic and activity than two individual forums.
People learning about robotics would definitely benefit from having people with a knowledge of electronics in the same forum as them as well, and it might get some electronics people interested in robotics too!

Anyway, 17 +1s so far! One or two more should move this onto the Admin consideration phase thingy...

I think this is a fantastic idea for a forum and one that is really needed, already gave a +1 one but wanted to show some more support
