pin holes- frit fly / flea beetle cant remember which one- spray
transparent window like hole- slugs-- pellets
leaves eaten along main veins of plant- caterpillars-- cry, not much you can do
heap of birds in the crop- wood pigeon-- ring local gun club/wait for the nearest drop of osr to be desecrated.
ring the crowd you got the seed off and get them to walk the crop.
really need to be checking it every second day at a minimum of the next month or so.
how many leaves are showing, to early for caterpillars
have put up some frights this year, made up of some steaks with a lat nailed to the top and some old cds dangling from it, seems to work for the pigeons. crows just ignore them.

Can you post a few photos. If the plant is well established it is probably catterpillars, still small might be greenfly, but I'm only guessing here. What was the previous crop? Sorry I'm not much help I know.

would think its some sort of leaf miner, flea beetle or fruit fly. Spray with Karate Zeon from Syngenta or similar type Insecticide, but you would have to post pictures to be sure
