Thanks.I think its fair we get it.That's the good thing about these boards you find out use full things
You sure??? I really want that to be true!!! .... I get the same as below there. Am I doing something wrong?

I do have a HD box, get BBC HD channels and ITV HD through other channels etc but definitely not getting RTE in HD... Same as below, call us to subscribe

It's a free on terrestrial so sky shouldn't be holding us to ransom with it

EDIT: It's there in HD on 294, no HD subscription required, just a HD box

or BBC HD channels
The BBC HD channels, Channel 4 HD, and ITV HD (and Scottish TV HD) are all FTA (No UTV HD on satellite yet) . E4 HD, Channel 5 HD, along with ITV 2, ITV3, and ITV 4 HD all require the SKY HD sub.

I think you get it on Sky on 102 when you purchase Bonus + HD Pack, But I'm not too sure.

If you subscribe to the HD pack it's on 102. If you don't subscribe to the HD pack but have any other type of standard Sky sub and have a HD box it's on 294.

The RTE 2 HD on 294 is definitely not as good in quality as the RTE 2 HD on Saorview. Anyone else notice this?

I don't have a HD pack but have the HD box, but I get all the other free to air HD stations and they are crisp and clear. This one just doesn't seem to measure up to them.

RTE Two HD on Sky is CBR at 12.0Mbit

Not gone FTA but available with an SD sub on channel 294 if you have an HD box. See here - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt...278906&page=45

It's been this way since the start of the Euros.

You don't need a HD Sub to Watch RTE 2 in HD via Sky (Just an SD subscription)

So for those with SD subscriptions and Sky HD boxes tune to 294 for the HD channel.

I don't know if my letter to the BAI made any difference, (no response as of yet) but I heard the switch may happen, and now it has.

I wonder those who upgraded recently from an SD sub to a HD sub just to get RTE2 can they now cancel without penalty?

Fair dues to whoever got it done. Many thanks. I have RTE2 via Saorivew, Saorsat and now via Sky, however the point was Sky attempting to charge people for a channel a week ago that is free now.

Latest Euros score:
Sky 0 Joe Public 1
Can anyone confirm if this is the case in Northern Ireland too, or do u have to have the HD pack?

Thanks
