Fun episode though. Nice that Ellie is now on the inside, and the scenes with Mrs Winterbottom were great fun.

Is it just me or are Lester and Jeff getting really annoying now? Its like they've become bad caricatures of their former selves.

Chuck S04E22 "Chuck Versus Agent X" [US] **Spoilers**
It's fair to say I was a bit disappointed with Agent X's identity. Ellie would have been a much more interesting choice. Ho Hum.

Enjoyed this. Casey's look of adoration at Mrs. Winterbottom was great. They would've been the perfect mother/son combo.
Glad to see Elly finally in on the secret. It was getting tired her being the only one out of the loop. Does she know now that Awesome knows and hid it from her? Oh and how perfectly timed was it when Casey held up a picture with a target on Osama's head? Aired less than 24 hours after the news broke. |

Up until this episode I had been content with the fact that Chuck will probably be cancelled... I had decided that 4 seasons was a good run and ready to make peace with that, but after that 40 minutes of Awesomeness I really hope it gets renewed for a 5th season (stranger things have happened!!!)...
Saw the Volkov reveal coming a mile off, but a cracking episode... |

I love this show and this episode proves why it deserves to stick around. Predictable? Yeah... but Chuck is not a super serious spy show. This story works and is good.
Roll on Season 5! |

Loved this episode! That's a few solid episodes in a row now. I like the way they've gone back to the humour that makes Chuck so good. Sarah had some great comedy moments and Yvonne S does a good comedy turn her face was priceless during the strip-o-gram scene - 'is that a gun?'
![]() Like was said above I didn't mind it wasn't renewed but the last few eps have left me hoping it will. Re Agent X I guess this means we'll be seeing more of Timothy Dalton, i'm glad. I suppose it was such a coup getting him for the show it would have been a shame not to use him again. Here's hoping for season 5! |

as soon as they said somerset england, it was obvious it was volkov to me. kinda disappointed it was, but knew it would be someone who was already big enough part in the show so no surprises.
Very good episode tho!

i dunno i was kinda hoping for a savage batcheler/et party, i was just thinking at the start of the episode that ellie still didnt know, and it kinda annoyed me they dragged it out this long, im happy its done now,
i thought it was a good episode but TBH i think the jeffster and big mike storyline dragged it down, honestly who the hell still likes these ****ing morons, i can accept up to a certain level of incompetance, they have blown way past my acceptance range, im really hoping for a season 5, and hopefully a better storyline, well not better but probably a faster resolution to a storyline, this has been one longass season and the breaks were excruciating at times, i was curious though why they didnt cast dalton, so TBF they probably had this planned all along, which does go to show they had a plan from the start, |

I loved the last few episodes and I really hope they get the chance to finish Chuck on it's own terms. |
