Google Translate gets most of it:

Big Post by him:

Habaks us, we have a colleague who knows a lot about it, has several programs and it was he who hoisted us to Lyon last year, Spain and Hawaii, and we had any kind of problem (izo by Pokesav).

This year is easier than the previous one because as you say, the IVS will not be linked to the PID, then what we do is use the RNG .. do more simple:

We capture the pokemon or eggs in the nursery, once we have the legal pokemon game, our colleague Pokesav edited ... will change the evs and ivs, and apart numbers will adjust some secrets of pokemon manually, then use multiple rare to verify they are correct.

I trust and rely on, like last year ^ ^
Bit of an unfair advantage and that would mean he's using an outside device to modify his pokemon, which is against the rules. :|

They do spot checks throughout the day and once you get through to the finals all carts are checked. If he was using modified Pokemon he surely would have been caught?

Apparently the system has changed in this Gen for checking or something, I wouldn't know exactly how it works since I only use legit Pokemon. But there is some evidence from himself that he has edited his Pokemon so, maybe something'll happen to his spot in the VGC?

Not really as the official legit checks are terrible (they rejected the event Weavile given out at Worlds the previous year, at last year's competition).

Previously the legit checkers would mostly check if the IVs and the PID matched. IV numbers where set to a certain method of coding (called the PID, I think that stands for Pokemon ID but I'm not sure). Also in Gen 4, the PID also connected the IVs to the nature. Think of it like the link that connects IVs to nature and (I think) ability. If this link was wrong then the Pokémon was not made in game, as the game could only make certain IV combinations with certain natures.

Now in Gen 5, they scraped/are not using the IV/PID combinations in the game making it harder to guarantee that a Pokémon is legit. My guess is that the staff are still using an old version of the legit software and 99% of them haven't a clue what's actually going on.

EDIT: Just crunched numbers on my VGC 2011 Battle. My Landourus's speed at lv50 is (IV 30 in speed and 255 Evs in speed) 167, yet I was outspeed by a Sigilyph with Life Orb that can only have a maximum speed of (max IVs, EVs and speed nature) of 163..... *sniff sniff* external editing

Rome finals if anyone is interested. It's a lot more interesting (if time stalling) than Birmingham

I think players mostly recorded them on the VS Recorder. I deleted my Birmingham one to save my Madrid Round 1 match. It's now on the the wi-fi video database, it's ID 37-40962-62113, I'll record it and post it on Facebook, as it's an EPIC BATTLE OF DERPFISH!! BEST BATTLE EVER!!!

(made it to Round 3 this time - go me)
