Just read in a playstation blog that it could take up to a month to fix cause they have to rebooth the whole thing...probaly crap doh...

Status has been going from online to offline here

Maybe they are almost ready to re-launch the psn? All I want to do is link my steam account then I don't mind if it goes down again

The SixAxis seem to have some info, confirmed by Digital Foundry.

Seems PS3 CFW hackers broke into PS3 developer PSN and downloaded a load of stuff from PSN for free.
Seems like they got access to PSN login servers from there and deleted the servers & backups.

Um, that's usually what happens to a thread about something not working, when that something starts working.

Why would people continue to discuss the PSN downtime when it is no longer down.
