Not going well at the moment:

Chester Cup Tomorrow

Hala San: He was 3rd in this last year of the same mark, and the first 2 are worse off at the weights. He really caught the eye last time when he got very unlucky in running and finished well in 4th. He is more than double the price of the first 2 last year and he has been super consistant in this type of race, including a 3rd the year before last in this race as well. Look well overpriced at 25/1 and cant go of at that price

2 Points Each way 25/1 VC and bet365

Epic loosing run continues.

Punch 6:05

Caolaneoin
: I liked the look of his win at leopardstown and his first run against Lovethehigherlaw was also eyecatching and there may not be much betweenthem and he is 3 times the price. He just looks a bit overpriced here at 34 win 8.8 place on betfair.

Natal: Im going to give him a small chance at a huge price. He ran a very good race in a grade one over 2miles here last year, and the step up in trip and down is class could give him a chace. He has had a decent break and was similiar last year. Overpriced

1 Point win 1 Point Place. Betfair 65 win 19 place.

Tomorrow Punchestown 4:15

Cuan Na Grai: Ran at fairyhouse and really never got into it at all, but done the same last year when pulled up at faryhouse after a break and then dotted up and punchestown. Hoping for no more rain as he really is a good ground horse. He has a 7lbs claimer on today which gives him a very nice 11 stone racing weight. looks well overpriced for what he could do. This claimer has a 9/40 record for nolan and 16/60 in the places. MAX bet

Mourad: I think the bookies may have it wrong here, he has improved a lot from last year when he was 3rd in this. His world hurdle run was easily his best ever and it doesnt compare at all to winning the mares race on the bridle. That world hurdle may have been the best ever and he was only 4.5 lenghts down in 3rd. Altough Quevega is still the most likely winner i think he is way to long compared to her price of 4/5.

4 Points win William Hill 9/2

Battlefront: 2 miles around here at this time of the year bares no relation at all to some of the Heavy ground chases he has ran in since his win here last year over c&D. He is 5lbs higher today but he won very easily last year and any reproduction of that would see him in with a chance here. The stable is well capable of getting him ready for this, and he looks overpriced with ladbrokes at 25/1. Only carrrying 9:12 and katie certainly knowes how to win here.

Fair Along: I had fancied him for the scottish national, but he missed that. He has looked like he will love the the step up in trip lately and almost never runs a bad race. A rating of 140 here really should give him a chance. There is nothing in this field even close to what he generally faces and even tough he has to carry top weight his odds of making the first 5 here are more like evens at worst..

SEBADEE: He has some decent novice form, and was running really well in the National until he made a huge mistate 3 out. Looks a good traveller and might be in with a small shout here at a big price. Will like the ground

Thousand Stars : He looks to most likely to benefit if the Hurricane isnt on form. He looks to be improving with every race and there really isnt much between him and menorah. Binocular does seem out of form so that makes his price of 17.0 on betfair seems really big. His run at aintree was very good and a similiar run here will be enough if the Fav dissapoints.

St Nicholas Abbey : 7/4 Coral and Bet365. Looks like they forgot about AOB runners needing first run. He just not getting sent here to loose. Didnt look great last time, but really he should be a class apart here. He has to go of lower than this. Harris tweeds best form is listed on soft ground and St Nich wont need to be at his best. Not my style to pick a shortie but he should be odds on.

4 Points win 7/4

Boxer George: His run at aintree where he fluffed the last and just failed to catch Baby Run (who is rated 136) (when i was on at 50/1 EW:-() does look good in the context of this weaker race. Willie said before ahnd that he will like better ground and todays longer trip and better ground should really see him close to fav here. Paddy power look at least a point to big at 5/1. It is going to be difficult to beat Cork All Star but there might nnot be much between them.

Collateral Damage: Some of his form last year would give him a shot here at a huge price. He got left behind last start and that looks the main reason for the big price. Worth a small bet on betfair at 38 win 7.6 place 4 placed on betfair

Ascot 3:25 totesport Victoria Cup

Advanced: He is an old favourite of mine who has been running well in a lot of these races, for the last 2 years. He has been gradually creeping down the weights and his first run of the season was a good 5th over 6, where he stayed on again after getting balked near the end. If he is anywhere near good form he would have a decent chance with only 8:0 to carry, and this makes a change from the beginning of last year when he was rated 13lbs higher.

Al Muheer: I’ve been following him for a while now and I’m certain that he’s well handicapped at the moment. He won over c&d 2 years ago with 10 lbs more, and his last run over 8f wasn’t too bad when things did not go right for him, although id have to suspect that he has been trained with today in mind. He is drawn very wide and that looks a disadvantage, but i cant desert him of his current mark.

2 Points win 14/1

3:40 Haydock totescoop6 Swinton Handicap Hurdle

Barizan: The 2 miles on fast ground here is ideal for him and it’s the first time he has seen those conditions since his very good runs at the end of last year. He ran well enough in the Martin Pipe at the festival, where he went off in front and didn’t stay the extra 5 furlongs of that race. He has a 5lbs claimer on tomorrow and has a nice racing weight of 11:04, if he can get away early he may be difficult to peg back.

Chasing Cars: Ive been waiting for this one to run in a good ground handicap after last year very good run here. He hasnt been that good this year, but his last run did show a bit of primise and the stable is in very good form as it usually is at this time of the year. He has a decent racing weight of 11:00 and any reproduction of last years for would make him look excellent value. He loves the ground and course.

2 Points Each Way 20/1 Bet365 5 places

Punchestown 5:35

Truckers Delight: Has been running well this year, he has a good course record and looks of a very good mark in 122, with an excellent 5lbs claimer on (with whom he won at punchestown before. His last run at Gowran was eyecatching without a lot of effort it seemed. He looks well overpriced, and should like the decent ground (any more rain would be a disadvantage)

2 Points Each Way 25/1 Paddy Power 5 places
