side window broken 6 times!!

I have had my front passenger side window broken for the sixth time yesterday. Its a mercedes c200 and its costing me €170 each time from autoglass to get a new window. does anyone know where I can get one for cheaper than this? It doesn't have to be the correct type of glass, just want cheap job done before it happens again!

Upgrade your insurance policy with glass cover? even if you lose your no claims because of it you should be still come out on top if the current rate of breakage continues.

Contact Traynors breakers Argmagh, they deliver every tuesday and friday mornings at 9am with parts. You'd be best fitting it yourself, its not a big job, I assume you dont leave anything lying in your car to give some thief a reason to break your window. good luck.

get one custom made from a widow makers/ glass cutters out of a single pane of non laminated glass.

it will absolutely cut the hand of whoever smashes the window into ribbons

it will be more expensive short term, but you will have the last laugh and it certainly wont happen again.

I'd think about getting the window tinted - the film should stop the glass shattering into the car.

I'd then try and work out why your car is being repeatedly targeted - is there something being stolen each time, do you leave jackets or other items on display in the car, are you parked inconsiderately?
Not condoning their actions, but if there's something you can do to stop the focus being put on your car, you should do it.

The last time I saw a piece of glass on a car that didn't have compound curves, it was made. in the '60s. Good luck getting a flat sheet to work.

I think he should look at having a clear explosion proof security film put on the replacement window, it would make it many times harder to break so they might leave off.

Window tinting will get you an NCT fail on the front side windows.

thats very hard luck ,id be tempted to buy something off bangernomics for that trip if it was an option then the scumbags might not bother attacking it, i know of a guy who used to drive a merc and was trying to collect money owed to him from different customers lads were always looking for extra time discounts etc but he noticed if he arrived in his wifes car an ould banger of a fiesta he would get paid !! i know this is off topic but it interesting the psychology of it

Not quite, only if it does not have a transparency (or opacity) is less than 65%
