Where's best on a Saturday night?

Hey folks,

I don't go out much these days (yes, I am old a rickety!) but a bunch of my colleagues in work are keen to go out somewhere some weekend- where's good of a Friday or Saturday night?

I know that Thursday is the Panti show, and Sundays is Bingo night in the G, but anything else good on? The GCN listings on the site are really hard to figure out, as are the ones on gaire...

Also, when is the Furry Glen on in Panti? I can't imagine we'd get very far, a bunch of mostly straight girls and a few lesbians...

No women are allowed in the furry glen ;P

This is somewhat easier to follow: http://www.queerid.com/whatson.aspx

I know, I was asking so I could avoid! Although no doubt the straight girls would enjoy it!

Thanks for that link, will check it out.

Two of the nights you mention involve drag queens are you specifically looking for that sort of night?

Furry Glen is mostly the 3rd Saturday of every month but can change some months. Google Pantibar.com to get more specific dates so you know what date not to go. If you are all into dancing, Mother is a newish club in the lane across from the back of the Front Lounge which plays a lot of house/electropop type music. It's Saturday night event only. (I'd recommend it!). You can't go wrong with a gang in Dragon on a Friday or Saturday night with club music downstairs and more chart/golden oldies upstairs as well as an always packed and lively smoking area. No matter how busy it gets, there's always some room in the chill out areas/seats at the front both upstairs/downstairs.

Cheers for all the info guys. I haven't been out to anywhere (except Panti on a weeknight) for about 4 years! Stupid long term relationship! (I say that with love, honest! )

Front Lounge, at the front, is usually busy with a lesbian crowd. It's quite hilarious how despite all the talk of inclusion, the men generally are camped up at the back of the bar and the ladies are down at the front part. I think there are a few lesbian club nights too, Kiss and Minx maybe are the names. QueerID is good for that kind of info.
