I'd say either start a thread dedicated to your app in the Anroid forum or start a thread over in the mobile application development forum.

Google are discontinuing the app inventor.

They are going to release the source code, so it will probably continue in some form or other.

Hi guys, while not an appinventor app, I made this app for college project a few months ago, just thought I'd throw it up here, needs Adobe Flash & Air installed on your device (it should inform you).

Built with Adobe Flash Builder, it's probably a bit buggy/lacking in functionality, but I got decent marks for it.
Note the app requires a login/pw but it doesn't have to be a valid, just use any text! (I'm not trying to harvest peoples emails and pws lol)

Where is this information taken from? 'Cow hit by old lady!'? On Great Ship Street?

Entries like that were taken from me testing and just putting random coordinates in the database.

I've created a similar one for rugby matches (school/college matches especially don't have scoreboards) What's the best way to share it without going all android market? Not the best when it comes to these things

You should stick it up in the market or the alternative markets, its the only way to get wide ranging distribution.

Other option is to distribute the APK yourself via a website, you should still release sign your app as if you dont the APK will only be valid for a year or so.

Thanks very much for the help...

What's the most popular way of distribution amongst boardsies (preferably free as I don't plan to charge for the app so don't see any reason why I shouldn't distribute it for free)

Just host it online somewhere, I have a web server I can host if for if you dont and create a new thread here on the Android forum (Probably best to pm the mods first and get their permission) and share the link

wanted app for diverting text messages for free

Any app out there for diverting text messages and calls for free? This would save having to carry work and personal phone.

You could try apply for the MIT one that I think they're testing:

Just to update. Appinventor has been re-released as a BETA by MIT, haven't tried using it yet but will do so when i get the time and will report back here once i've played around with it a bit.
