Organising a Petition

Hi All, Just wanted to put a suggestion out there and see the response. I am happy to put my name forward to help co-ordinate a petition to be delivered to Barry Andrews IF there is enough interest in doing so. Also, any ideas or suggestions for a petition would be welcomed. Bear in mind, please, that Minister Andrews treats us with contempt at the best of times so this would have to be a serious and sleak and professional petition. We would have to arrange for the media to cover the delivery of the petition to Leinster House as well so we would need numbers. Let me know your opinions and if you would be prepared to get involved too. Thanks!

Hi efla, check out www.adoptionrightsalliance.com for updates with regard the adoption issue. There is an on-line petition people can sign but I have volunteered to help organise either a Q & A or a petition we can deliver to Leinster House if enough people were interested. So far, there are not enough numbers. The last thing we want is to give Barry Andrews ammunition to use against us. We need more numbers.

Guys-

If you'd like to organise a petition, or cross post from other websites/organisations- please run it past the forum moderators here first.

Cheers,

Shane

Hi Efla-

Some of the old committee are trying to resurrect the website and organise events etc. again. The Yahoo list is still active (with over 800 members), but is quite quiet (though it goes through patches). If you're interested in attending meetings (or indeed organising them!) please post on the main Yahoo list (or PM me and I'll do so for you- I moderate the list).

I'm not aware of what happened to the old APA (nor am I asking!)
