great season. hank the best character for me.
last scene i thought for a moment the whole thing got turned on its head when hank said that his boss will need him alive and i thought gayle was the real boss. I was rapidly thinking **** how did i not see this before! then i realised it wasnt the case but it would have been a good twist

Awesome show, better then Dexter in my opinion, amazing stuff,
just finished watching S1-S3 again, can't wait for the 4th season. edit - you think BB should have it's own forum ? so individual episodes can be discussed etc ? |

As much as I love the show I think it would be a bad idea. Not enough fans and it would get forgotten about. Maybe there should be a forum for AMC, one for HBO, Showtime, BBC etc.?

I watched season 3 last June/July.
The strands of the stories were a little loose and scattered in the first half of the season. Say for example, the two mostly non-verbal assassins, it took a while for them to reach centre stage, but I've no issue with that because it seemed quite natural. Episode 6 was a close shave re the RV, though I'm glad it was destroyed as it kicked things up a bit. Interesting parallel with it going to the shredder when Hank's career/life is heading in a pretty similar direction. The fake phone call was bound to send his already high stress levels into orbit. Episode 7 was quite something alright, hard to pick between Aaron Paul and Dean Norris for who was the standout, but I think Paul takes it. The make up people did a really good job there, but he really sold it. Episodes 8 and 9 were good, yet again we see Skyler pressurise Walt with the revelation to about his 'gambling' (when talking to Marie). 10 or 11 was the fly one which was a brilliant two hander. Then we had Jesse and his mates trying to tap into the support group to offload the meth, some shameful ****, yo. Hank gains his liberty whilst Walt and Jesse paint huge targets on their backs. 12 and 13, well, what can you say? 'Run!' I like the PI guy, he's eh, resourceful. There was a point when I thought perhaps himself and Gus are deep undercover, but it seems unlikely they'd get this kind of authorisation. I was a little worried about Saul, not only because he might clobbered, but also in how he was used in the show. Overuse and his mannerisms might have tripped into parody. |
