Louis Theroux

This guy from the BBC has done loads of hour long documenting various social topics such as porn, UFOs, wrestling, Nazis, the list goes on.

A lot of his stuff is lighthearted enough but he has a fantastic way of presenting himslef in a non-confrontational & innocent way which lulls a lot of his subjects into opening up much more than they would be to someone who is presenting a pompous documentary. So much so in fact that a lot of the times the subject is so at ease with Louis that their ignorance & predijuce comes to the top for all to see. Excellent viewing all the time

Some of his docu's have been awesome, my favourite, but by far the most disturbing, was when he went to stay with the KKK/Nazi's, that was some freaky shit. Another good one is Louis at the Brothel

I love Louis, did you see the one where he tried to get an interview with Michael Jackson and was refused, but they agreed to be interviewed by Martin Bashir like a week later?!

No, sleeping with young boys (be it in a sexual nature or not) ruined Michael's life.

I really love Louis. A lot of his stuff is offbeat and quirky but its really interesting and can be really funny. His Weird Weekends series was great, I loved the wrestling one. His specials on San Quentin, Westboro Baptist Church were fantastic too. The one he did at Coalinga was disturbing, most of those guys he interviewed didn't seem to understand what they had done wrong. Chilling.

I love him too...I just wish he was on more often. The Baptist series was great. I just can't believe those people, I really have no words for them...and to brainwash their kids at such a young age..I felt sorry for the young girl, I think Louis did too..so pretty yet no friends & no life. Will probably be forced to marry one of the 'members' of the church & go on to raise her own little family of haters. I don't get how they think it's right to picket dead soldiers' funerals with signs saying they're going to hell & they deserved to die
I saw that family on a really old Jeremy Kyle show recently..same rubbish they were preaching.
Louis is great at handling all that baloney

i loved the brothel one cause one of the girls actually fell in love with him. But the wresling one was so funny and the Nazi one was scary you could see the fear in his eyes.

Another one i found to be quality stuff was the one with the Black Nationalists, as with alot of the rest of his subjects alot of them seem to be living in a complete false sense of reality.

On the other side of the spectrum was the boer seperatists which was equally crazy, with the recently murdered Eugene Terre'Blanche featuring heavily, and quite the scumbag he was

The one he did on the porn industry was good too. I saw it years ago, I think he even registered with a 'talent' agency for the documentary . I just bought the Louis Theroux Collection off asda there for a tenner, not bad for 13 hours of documentaries.

Ya, I thought I wasn't reading the price properly but amazon and sendit have it for around the same price . I know you can watch some Louis documentaries on the internet but the quality isn't very good smetimes and they are something I would go back and watch again after a while. A helpful reviewer from amazon said the dvd included:

From Weird weekends:

Black nationalism
Head for the hills
Gangsta rap
Porn
South Africa
Swingers
Thai Brides
Wrestling

From When Louis met:

Jimmy Saville
Paul & Debbie Daniels
The Hamiltons
Chris Eubank
Ann Widdecombe

Louis & the Nazis
Louis & the Brothel

Louis' bits from TV Nation

Can't wait for Loius and the Swingers......awkwardness guaranteed I'd say . The wrestling one was hilarious, Louis said that they weren't really sportsmen/athletes so they excercised him until he threw up!
