More Public Service Jobs being created - in another bank.

Ah yes....

Yet another bunch of folk who'll trundle up at 9.00, open up at 10, clsoe at 4 and trundle home at 5 in their subsidised cars . Gee ye'll have the notoriety of being the only public servants to get a payrise in the last year..

"The State is taking 15.7% stake in Bank of Ireland on Monday.

The shareholding is in lieu of a dividend owed to the Government by the bank.

Bank of Ireland received preference shares worth €3.5bn last year and was due to pay the Government €250m tomorrow."

anyone notice this

Quote:
The bank is currently valued at €1.2bn.
and

Quote:
The new shares are addition to warrants entitle the State to a 25% shareholding in Bank of Ireland in four years time.
and then this

Quote:
Bank of Ireland received preference shares worth €3.5bn last year and was due to pay the Government €250m tomorrow

the mind boggles

I think some senior managers get company cars (subject to the usual BIK ...). Nothing too unusual about that. I believe that when Michael Soden took over as CEO, the number of cars was slashed.

Edit: I've just noticed the OPs username. Is that you Michael? Are ya bitter? :->
