Buying a car from Japcars.ie(Dublin)

Hi, everyone...
I have a little issue here. I went today to Jap Cars Dublin and I've chosen one Toyota Vitz. Car was fine, suited me and my wife and we paid 500 euro deposit... I've signed a docket for the deposit but I've noticed that my name was under seller' section and under purchaser' section was Jap Cars Dublin and they've asked me for my PPSN?!? Is that some mistake or is the way it has to be... Car is NCT guaranteed, 3 months warranty on engine and gearbox... The other thing I've just realised is that the car has no reg number - does this mean that a VRT has not been paid and I'd have to take care of that?

If anyone could give me an idea, would be nice. I'm very confused now and I'm afraid I've made a mistake here...

it is no biggy unless you need it to be

this is a trick that some (not nessiciarly this company) companies use

they haave aa car in a jap name
the\y will imprt it under you vrt and vst account (every one has one its linked to your pps num, ber)

this is sothey don'y get screwed with the revenue knowing how much they are importing and so they can be laxadaisy with the tax implications

Been up there a few times, buckets of dirt for crazy money. I'd rather walk.
Im sure their warranty is as good as the warranty on a Del Boy VHS player

qz - you can't use terms like that here. Please keep it factual.

company imports the car in buyers name (so revenue doesn't see how many vehicles the company brings in...if revenue doesnt see the company importing the car then revenue cant get 100% accurate "payments" in the companies revenue bills)

If that's the problem I'd be ok...
I'm worried that they'd ask me to pay VRT myself, something I'd avoid easily, had I been in contact with a Toyota dealer for example.

We'll they trick me and make me pay VRT myself?
