Snippets, Images & Anything Worth Sharing

Ok, so I've decided to start this new, sticky thread. I've been using StumbleUpon a lot lately, and because of it I've come across so many interesting and fascinating snippets of articles, facts, images and animations, and a huge variety of other things. These things, on their own, don't really deserve a thread of their own; most people probably wouldn't start a new thread to share such a small thing. Hence, this thread.

Please continue to post articles and larger bodies of information in new threads in the forum itself, thanks.

So, I'll get started with the next post.

The first two of the three links below are images which are too large to embed, and the third link is a small interactive program.

The Tree of Life

Journeys to the Planets

I agree. I use stumbleupon a lot so hopefully I'll come across something to post soon.

EDIT: Found some things in my favourites.

An infinite photograph:

I just found this photograph on the National Geographic website. Take a look at it, as the name implies, it's really an infinite photograph.

I spent my morning in work looking at documentaries on this family after seeing Reeni's link, it's heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time.
