Pokémon Forum

The forum is based on mutual respect, and as such please treat all other posters with due courtesy and respect, along with their Pokémon. Jigglypuff is obviously excluded from this list.

Do not link to material which may be offensive to others
- Includes hotlinks, pictures or videos.
- Covers Porn, links to download movies, games etc. etc.
- Material which may be offensive to Jigglypuff is also naturally excluded.

Try not to slag off other peoples love of Pokémon, however feeble they may be e.g Rattata, Bidoof, Caterpie and of course Magikarp.

Similarly, unless it is a first hand experience (IE - happened to YOU) slagging off or running down other wanna be Pokémon masters, trainers and breeders is not allowed. Excluding Jigglypuff.
Doing so will result in an infraction or a ban, this is at the moderators discretion.

Asking for information on where to get warez/roms will get you a ban. I'm going to disallow the discussion of emulators and where to get them too, just to save any trouble.

Any discussion of illegal activities of any sort will result in post deletion and an infraction at least. Inciting hatred towards Jigglypuff is allowed.

Misbehaviour will result in an infraction and a banning. Continued misbehaviour will result in a longer or permanant ban. A 3 strike system is in place. 1st offence: Infraction, 2nd offence: temporary ban and 3rd offence permanent ban.

No trolling, flaming, fighting, sleazy/inappropriate comments. This will get you an infraction or a ban.

If you find any posts offensive, if you notice a "spam" post, or if you notice anyone breaking the above rules, please click the report post button to draw the moderators attention to it. Unless it involves a Jigglypuff.

If you feel that any action taken against you by a moderator is unfair, then please feel free to PM the moderators and discuss your issues in a civil manner. If we receive any PMs that we consider to be worded in a hostile/aggressive/abusive manner, we will report them to the admins. If you are unhappy with your polite discussion with the mod go to the Cmod (Me or An Cat Dubh) and we will try settle the issue. If that doesn't work we will forward it to the admins. Clefairy as a Jigglypuff alternative should be equally hated.

Emulators I believe are also illegal.

I'm just looking over the forum for the moment until a proper designated mod can be found. So the charter is subject to change

Well, judging by the Arcade & Retro forum, I'd think they're ok. Just posting where to get roms wouldn't.

Trial & Error I suppose. If we find any loopholes in the charter or anything we miss we can always go back and edit it in.

I think they're legal under GPL (General Public License)
Because they're called VBA and the like they pass any copyright claims.

Problem with emulators is that most discussion of them would at least hint at using them to play the official games.

I'm not sure if Nintendo's ever made a statement as to their opinion on fangames either.

Yeah the discussion would end up drifting into the realms of Illegality.

Everything that is relevant to Pokemon.
