VAT and PPS number for sole trader

Hi guys

i have a buddy who is a sole trader and he dont know his PPS number

if his VAT number is IE1234567V is his PPS number 1234567T ?

can someone confirm ?

If he's a sole trader, his VAT number is his PPS number.

sorry he was a soletrader - he finished up last year and went travelling.

therefore whats his pps number now ? was it the same before he became a sole trader a few years ago ?

but without the IE at start and V at end ?

The IE at the start is only for the VAT number. The V at the end is part of the PPS/VAT number.
