new engine

The engine on my 05 Honda Accord diesel went due to me being stupid and not checking the oil level . So i need a new one, second hand or reconditioned one it dont really matter. Can anyone help me out please? I have checked IVI Engines and they want 2700 euro supply and fit but i have not got that money. So i anyone can help me out i appreciate it, thank you.

Hi Kevez....Did the oil level warning light not show up on the dash...
as above http://traynors.biz/ are pretty good and do a delivery to Sligo,Mayo
Galway and come back thro the Midlands.....depends where your based.
Not a nice thing to happen...

cheers bud but no joy with them ive tried them already they have nothing. and no the waning light did not come on it must be broken or something

this happened to me 3wks in my new mondeo that was delivered in april. Had put oil in but not enough and missed first service interval by 17k, no warning light for me. Just a 4k bill so i guess ur 2.7k looks ok

where and when did you buy the car?
first time ive ever heard of just the oil warning light being broke on a car.

You brought the car for its service 17k AFTER it was due? Why?! That's car cruelty right there.

It's not exactly unusual. A lot of people think the engine area is a sealed unit. Alternatively they think the car is powered by the Energizer Bunny.

On a side note, my brother sold his Bora a while back with the airbag light on. Not one prospective buyer commented on it.

Too true, no real sympathy for people who don't check oil levels. It's something that should be checked at leat every week

i know i should have checked the oil but whats done is done just ask for a few names of places that do engines thats all

my last two cars had their first service interval at 40k so it was a question of not spotting in the manual that mondeo is 18k. There is no service light/indicator on the car and the oil light in most cars is just for oil pressure not level. Oh and i lived the nightmare, i dont need to be reminded again how dumb. Anyhew this aint my thread, back to OP

Try ivi engines, mulingar breakers, enfield breakers, kilcock car dismantlers.
