Muineach RIP

Those of you who have been here for a while will remember Muineach and his great nature shots of foxes. He was an active member here in the photography forum as well as wildlife and nature. http://www.flickr.com/photos/muineach/

RIP Derek

What a very sad loss. He was a brilliant photographer and I loved his fox images.

That's not the guy who found a few Fox cubs last year and took daily photographs? Fairly sure it's not but?

Very sad, a brave man, IIRC he posted some shots of himself after an operation, the news then was positive, people come and go through here but you would never imagine this.

This is very sad news indeed. A really nice guy on the forum.

His fox pictures are in particular ones which will remain in my memory. If I recall correctly, these were published in one of the camera magazines. This must have been a proud moment for him and a great achievement.

I'd normally be able to rustle up a reflection from somewhere that would be appropriate to a solemn occasion such as this but I guess like everyone reading this news i'm a little saddened. Perhaps it is best then to quote Derek himself from an exchange on the 6th of December, 2007; In response to City-Exile who wondered about dying in the bath, Muineach responded;
Quote:
I wanna be a naked ghost, but wearing a tie, I think it would add class to being a ghost and quite funny
So, with a lump in my throat and sadness in my heart, it is with great fondness that I will remember Muineach/Derek on the forum.

Condolences of the forum and all of its members to Derek's family and friends. Your loss is ours. May he rest in peace.
