What Would You Put Away For The Future

In the same way that a Mk1 boggo Cortina or a Mini 1000 are a classic today it brings me to the question " what would you put away today to be a future classic? . No exoctica or the like , just plain ordinary everyday cars from the 90's and the 00's. I'm moth balling a Saab 900 from 92 and a 82 Renault 5 so thats my answer....

I've a 1983 Fiat 127 1300GT in a shed for the past 14 years, and I plan on keeping my daily driver as long as I can, a 94 Vectra diesel.

That Saab 900 looks like a miniature.

Have to say my E38 7 series, it already is a classic in my eyes.

No question:

A base spec Nissan Tiida.

So that, no matter how bad things ever get in the future, regardless of all the pedestrian impact & crash regs that may be imposed and ruin car design, we can ALWAYS look back and realise - Foock me, it could always be worse!

There will always be lots of well kept cars like saab 900 & older M3 & M5 as they have a following from when they were new and will continue to have.
I think the real future classics will be the cars that nobody has given a second thought to.
A scorpio maybe? Didnt sell in huge numbers and is an aquired taste.

There is a very good chance alot of Saab 900's will still be running as daily drivers in 15yrs time !

I'd like to keep an R5 GT turbo and maybe a Clio Williams.

I would put away a Renault Laguna. What are the chances one of those will be around in years to come.

But, in all seriousness I would put away a Vauxhaull Monaro before the worldwide greens / greenpeace types ruin the motoring world.
