would you haggle

Heard someone on a radio saying we should haggle in shops now with the recession

I saw a shirt marked 35 euro and was going to offer 20 to see the reaction /hopefully get it but no staff around and probably be told to foxtrot oscar

Who would haggle?

Was looking at a '05 Audi A8 today, €35,000.

I do sometimes. Only if I'm dealing with the manager of shops though, and only ever when buying electronics or clothes..

Was in PC World today looking for two laptops for Santa presents for my little brother and sister. Shop assistant came over and we asked to speak to the manager to see if he could do us a deal on two laptops. Manager point blank refused to come anywhere near us!

In these depressing times the only thing to do is haggle, all they can do is say "NO !" herself hates when I do it and walks away when I start , but its better in my pocket than the shopkeeper!
