***PUBS AND VENUES OF IRELAND***

Hi,

I'm in a cover band that is looking to expand into other towns around the country!!

You can check out some of our live videos here... www.bebo.com/-bottle-rocket-

We all have a lot of individual experience playin diffeent pubs and venues in Meath!! The band started in July and now weve got a full set ready to go and a few up coming gigs in our home town!!

We have no problem travelling to far away place, our rates are pretty cheap and we know our stuff well!!!

We play all the usual ones like killers, kings of leon, muse, mgmt, black eyed peas, weezer, green day.... etc. And then close out with the classics, thin lizzy, bon jovi, ac/dc, metallica... etc.

Be great to get an opportunity to impress...

Cheers!!!!

ive listnened to e few more than you have plato, and id agree with you 100 per cent,. i convinced myself that if i kept listening that it would get better but it just got worse. u boys have alot to learn about playing in a band. first and foremost , the band must be tight, as a unit , above all else. your videos just sound like noise. sorry. but i think you will be playin a few gigs around youer own town for another while.

Appreciate the comments guys...
gotta take it as constructive critisism i guess!!

In deffence...

that was recorded with the obvious ****e quality of a camera mic, so sound and levels were never gonna be perfect!!

BUM NOTES HAPPEN ALL THE TIME!!!!!!
**** SAKE... guess i wont have them few bottles of miller before the gig next time!!!

Sorry pal, but bum notes happen all the time to amateur bands. If you take your craft seriously you should be aiming to eliminate bum notes from your playing. You won't be able to, (nobody is 100% immune to mistakes) but you certainly should strive to. To me, a musician saying 'bum notes happen all the time' is akin to an accountant saying 'people get sums wrong all the time'. Not an acceptable attitude as a professional.

And no, you shouldn't have those beers before the gig.

f&*k me,I'm only on this site less than a day an already my eyes are open to the crap people are saying, as the lad said they've only started since July, he said their pretty cheap, they've no heirs or graces, cut them some slack and try and support your fellow musicians! No harm in telling people where they go wrong, but don't try demolish them just to satisfy your own all knowing ego!!!That's in reference to Plato.

Sorry shaneennis1, I just can't let this one go. This site may or may not be full of dickheads, but that's irrelevant. What's relevant is that you came on here plugging your band, which we're all entitled to do, and people pointed out that there are a lot of mistakes in the performances. Which we are all entitled to do. Some did it in a very caustic manner, which, again, is their right, but the point stands - there are a lot of mistakes in your performances. You then posted your response to those criticisms by saying that mistakes happen all the time, which you are entitled etc etc.

Now here's where the personal opinion (mine) starts: Your attitude stinks. If you want to plug your band you need to be able to accept criticism and handle it accordingly. If you don't agree with the criticism, then say so, and say why. That's fine. Everyone should be able to air their opinion. Calling everyone on the site a dickhead because you don't like what they said about you says as much to me about your band and your attitude as the videos you posted. Making excuses for the sh*te quality of the camera mic does not diminish the fact that the performance needs improvement, and if you can't take that on board, then by all means continue to have your beers before the gig, and continue to be a cheap band that continually makes mistakes and continually gets very few gigs. Good luck.

some are, most are not to he honest. If you post on the instruments or music production forums (which you will be doing a lot if you prob will be doing a lot if you are in a band) you will get to know the posters (pardon the pun) that know about equipment and the music business. These guys will point a novice in the right direction. they helped me a lot in the last 2 years! people like savman, PaulBrewer, feylya, Karl Hungus, voodoochild...... the list goes on.

Best of luck with the band
