What to wear to a graduation?
My graduation is in a few weeks and I was looking for an idea of what people normally wear. I'm a bloke so I was thinking of wearing a suit. Would this be the norm? Or would nice trousers and shirt be fine. Do people wear jeans?
Any thoughts or other ideas are appreciated.

jeans are a major no no!!!! there's nothing worse with gowns! slacks and a shirt would be ok but remember it'll probably be cold so a suit is probably your best bet! At my grad in sept, all the guys wore suits and they all looked amazing!

Jeans are a definite no, no! For any graduation I've had most of the lads wore suits or a shirt and tie at the least.
Do you know what colours you'll be wearing? (if you don't check out here http://www.nui.ie/publications/docs/...essBooklet.pdf ) Personally I'd pick something that wouldn't clash horribly with the gown. You don't want all the photos of you wearing a pink tie and a red hood.
