not many people have seen this film, well not many that i know anyway, but if you are a fan of historical dramas, phenonemal acting, and beautiful soundtracks , please please rent out this movie!!i think it deserves more praise.. brad pitt is incredible , that scene with him standing in the corn field, with the clouds moving,,,wow...casey affleck,, i know he was deemed better in it than pitt...he is great espeacially towards the end when he comes into his own..
the point is.. go see this movie.its my favourite ..its long but its worth it..and the ending is incredible |

This is my #1 movie of all time. And it was hard to come up with a top 5 list.
Casey Afleck plays his part brilliantly as does Brad pitt. the fact that they give away the whole film in the title lets you look a bit deeper in how Robert ford would go from an obsessed young man to the killer of his idol. the film is very acurate of what happened and I disagree with the previous post that it glorifies Jesse James. I think it plays right down the middle. The narrator mentions all his crimes and how violent they were. The director said that he really wanted to show how innacurate previous movies were when they depicted him as a robin hood figure when he was anything but. I have this on DVD and Blu ray and id give it a solid 9/10.

Your number one movie of all time gets a 9/10? Hmm.
Fantastic movie which totally took me by surprise. Great story, great cinematography (train scene at night for example) and great score from Nick Cave. Found it hard to believe that this was a flop (something like $30m to make and it only took in $15m). |
