Hi,

Sorry to drag this up again-although this bargain is still available.

To people in the know, if I buy this can I:

Connect it to my tv, will it utilise the whole screen, and will there be audio?

My tv only has the following connections:
Scart, Dvi and the three little holes(red, yellow, white)

Im guessing if its possible, I will have to buy some extra cables yeah?

Thanks very much.

Does your DVI have a correponding audio input elsewhere? Usually on TV's you will also have a minijack or 2 x RCA (Red and White/Black) so you can hook up Audio to go with your PC input.

Is it worth the 4GB upgrade or is 2GB enough?

Thanks!

If you're using a 32bit operating system- you won't be able to address fully 4Gb of RAM- but it will be a lot slicker than with 2Gb. That said- it will function just fine with the 2Gb. Its better with 4Gb but fine with 2Gb. Its a bit like putting 98 or 94 octane in an engine- not the best of analogies, but accurate nonetheless.

Might be a silly question, but does this have a COM port?
If not can you get a COM to USB connection or something?

I don't think any new computer has a COM port these days. I'm not aware of a COM to USB convertor- but do a hunt online.

Was kinda thinking that. I got my hands on a touch screen monitor that requires a COM port. Think the Revo and the touch will go together nicely.

they cut price again, it is now £144.99, and with its ability to play 1080p (with new beta of adobe flash player 10.1 youtube 1080p work good too) it is a very good choice if you want to connect it to a biiig tv

Not sure why you'd bother getting 4gb's of memory though!

Would be difficult to get any use out of it! Windows 7 uses less rm than vista btw

It actually uses the same amount- its a very similar kernel after all- where it does excel is at returning RAM for system usage when its no longer required (Vista tends to hog system resources after they are no longer required).

You will notice a difference with up to 3Gb (if using the 32bit version of Windows 7) over and above the 1Gb that it ships with. Opening and closing Windows for example- can have several seconds shaved off- and programmes would appear to be more responsive. Further- you can allocate far greater amounts to graphics memory- which Windows 7 will love you for.......
