Firstly, I'm sorry if this thread is in the wrong place.
Now, I've just been told that I need to create a simple website. It doesn't have to be anything remotely fancy - I just need to put up a basic 'about me' section, maybe a few photos, as well as insert a substantial block of text and add a few links. It can't be a pre-generated blog; it must be a website with a specific address. Thing is, I haven't a clue where to start. I don't know how to claim an address name, where to look, who to pay (I presume I must pay someone for a web address), or how to design it, such as colours, fonts, links, pictures, etc. So any information - including tips and advice - would be great. |

geocities have a website builder. It's really easy to use and you can get a nice little page out of it, here's one I made in an hour and I don't know the first thing about html coding and all that
www.geocities.com/thetoptrumps Problem is, geocities is closing their website service on the 26th of this month but I'm sure you'll be able to make it and then upload it on another similar site. You can, from what I remember get free domain name with .tk So by going to say for example www.toptrumps.tk, it would redirect to the site above. www.webworld.ie do domain name if you want to pay for one. |

I suggest Vista Print, it's very easy to use (making a website is like editing a Word Document).
