Have sky plus wires but when use sky plus box nothing

Got Sky+ installed in sitting room and multiroom in a bedroom. Only got ordinary box in the bedroom but the installer ran in the double wires for Sky+. Just wondering if i hook a spare Sky+ box in bedroom should i be able to use Sky+ or do i need to get a different card?

The Sky+ should work with an existing card once the re-pairing is called back to Sky. Unless you've gone multiroom and then obviously do need a second card.

What's confusing is "installer ran in sky plus wires and hooked up to ordinary box" ? What do you actually have installed at the moment?

Ok, I get you now

No need for a new card. Install the new box ( spare Sky+ box ), connect the phone line and do a call back, services, system set-up, then click 0, 1, select. Go down to new installation, select and it's select all the way after that. Then just call Sky 0818 719 861, option 1 then option 3 and get them to re-pair the card ( to upgrade the facilities ie. Sky+ on that card )

They will ask you for card, version and serial numbers. To get these just press services on your Sky remote, system set-up and system details.

What do you mean by "call back".
Went to services and system set up but there is no option for pressing "0"?

Call back is to send a call through the phone line to Sky to let them know you have that box active with that card on your account. It is necessary for a Multi-room sub.

0, 1, select - that's a hidden installer menu. It's not visably available. When you're in system set-up just click them in qucik succession and it will get you into the installer menu. Click new installation and select all the way after that.
