CVs and Data Protection Act

Hey folks,

Esp. for people who have had no replies from companies/agencies re. their CV or application for a job.

I only found out recently myself that they are not entitled to hold any of your personal information on file without your consent, so, you should get a response from them if you write a nice email/letter asking to have your Cv and personal details deleted from their files.

Who knows, if enough people do that, they may inspire them to go to the trouble of sending you a thank you note for your interest, but you havent been successful- as in a one off email to all the unsuccessful people.

That would save them more time compared with dealing with every individual
